The island of Dugi otok is caracterized by a charming nature. On the only asphalted street it is nice to walk or to ride the bicycle, because there is not much traffic.
The island is a paradise for swimming, for diving and for practicing nautic sports, or simply for taking the sun. Here it is possible to buy good natural products: olive oil, honey, cheese, fruits and vegetables.

On Dugi otok there are several small fisher villages each with its restaurant; there are no banks, but it is possible to get money in the post offices with Masters, Visa and Diners creditcards. The only gasoline station is in Zaglav.

Gorgonia is situated in Verunic, in a deep bay, protected from the winds.
